Who We Are

Founded as Trinder & Partners, the company was shaped by Mark Leonard Senior, who began his career with Christie & Co before joining Trinders and later overseeing its rebrand to Nationwide Businesses Ltd - a name that reflects our core mission: selling local businesses nationwide.

Today, the business is led by second generation consultants Chris and Robert Leonard, who have been active in the industry since the 1990s. Their leadership blends deep sector knowledge with a commitment to innovation, ensuring clients benefit from both experience and modern efficiency.

Our Heritage

Nationwide Businesses has grown steadily over seven decades, evolving with the market while maintaining its core values of professionalism, trust and service.

• Construction of our purpose built two storey offices in Purley High Street during the 1980s, strategically located near central London and the main Gatwick Airport rail link.
• Acquisition of the company from Charterhall Finance plc, enabling full independence and long term strategic growth.
• Expansion of the leadership team in the 1990s, with Chris Leonard (BA Economics Hons) joining in 1991 and Robert Leonard driving a major technological transformation soon after.
• Launch of our award winning website in 1996 - one of the earliest and most advanced in the industry at the time.
• Being the leading business agents in the UK, we have been the first customer of all 3 of the leading business for sale portals in the UK.
